Senate Page Program

senate page program information

There are many reasons that a high school student might have the interest to serve as a Senate Page for a week at the NC General Assembly. Some do it for the experience to become involved in government, and to see it work up close and personal. Some visit us to earn service credits or to build their college resume. Others serve just to earn a few extra bucks.

Whatever the reason, I always enjoy opportunities to introduce students to the inner workings of the General Assembly. The Senate Page Program offers the perfect opportunity for young people to get know more about how laws are made. It is available to high school students in good academic standing with their school.

Serving as a Senate Page is an exciting experience that gives students a first-hand look into how our laws are made. Pages will become familiar with the Legislative Complex and the Senate Chamber as they attend daily sessions, deliver messages, and carry out other tasks that are important to Senator Edwards' office.

Page applications are limited. If you are interested in becoming a Page for a week, please click here for a full list of qualifications.
