I always enjoy opportunities to introduce students to the inner workings of the General Assembly. The Senate Page Program offers the perfect opportunity for young people to get know more about how laws are made. It is available to high school students in good academic standing with their school.
Through this program pages will get to experience the daily ins-and-outs of the state legislature. Those selected to serve as pages get the opportunity to attend daily session and committee meetings as well as helping in the Senate offices and seeing how a legislative office works.
Page applications are limited. If you are interested in becoming a Page for a week, please visit http://www.ncleg.net/Senate/SenatePages/Apply for a full list of qualifications.
Boarding arrangements with well vetted and approved area families are available if needed. I hope to host you in Raleigh sometime soon.
