Casciato Recognized For Museum Efforts (Brevard, NC)

Last month Transylvania County resident Emmett Casciato was recognized by the N.C. House and Senate for his efforts to found and maintain the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas in downtown Brevard.

The ceremony took place at the museum, where a packed house of around 100 people were present as Casciato was surprised to learn he was being presented with the certificate of recognition. The certificate was presented by N.C. Rep. Jake Johnson, Col. Larry Chapman and Brianna McMinn from N.C. Sen. Chuck Edward's office.

The certificate read: "Be it known to all that the House and Senate of the State of North Carolina present this certificate of recognition to Emmett Casciato for his tireless efforts to found and maintain the Veterans History Museum of the Carolina, and for his dedication to bring awareness to the sacrifices our veterans have made to preserve our freedom."
