I was honored to speak to the Henderson County Women's Club regarding the legislative successes our district and county have seen over the past year. A lot of time we only hear about the what can be portrayed as negative in the media.
I appreciate the Women's Club for giving me a vehicle to speak on the good my fellow members and I have done this year including a $1.5-billion increase in K-12 education funding in the last two years and bringing the personal income tax rate to just 5.25 percent in 2019 and 2.5 percent for corporate taxes. For our district I helped secure $200,000 for Henderson County Schools’ Leader in Me program, $400,000 for Muddy Sneakers, and more. Additionally, I appreciate being given the opportunity to speak on the importance of the six constitutional amendments our citizen's will be able to vote on November 6th.
