The North Carolina Chamber of Commerce recognized state Sen. Chuck Edwards and Rep. Jake Johnson as 2019 “Jobs Champions” in its annual How They Voted report. The report details lawmakers’ voting records on key bills identified as critical to preserving and enhancing a favorable climate for business and job creation in North Carolina.
Edwards earned the recognition thanks to a 94% voting record based on pro-growth and pro-jobs.
“North Carolina has become one of the fastest-growing economies and best states for business," Edwards said. "Our state consistently ranks at the top for the best economy in the nation because of our business climate and tax policies. Our commitment to increase take-home pay for working people and attracting investments in our workforce continues to draw rapid population growth and cutting-edge industries to North Carolina. As a small businessman myself, I am proud to receive this high endorsement by the N.C. Chamber of Commerce.”
